BOOKING ARJUN RAMPAL: Arjun Rampal's favourite books are The Songs My Mother Taught Me and The Kite Runner.
Mumbai: Bollywood hunk Arjun Rampal showed up for the launch of a new book released by the Tommy Hilfiger group, titled Iconic America.
The book, a comment on American pop culture, will be available to buy at all Tommy outlets. CNN-IBN took the opportunity to talk to the actor about his interest in books.
This is what the actor said: "Well, I like all kinds of books. I usually like autobiographies. My favourite is The Songs My Mother Taught Me and the book The Kite Runner."
Apart from books which he cherishes a lot, which experience of the two did Arjun Rampal relish the most — working with Amitabh Bachchan in the The Last Lear, or with Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om.
However, Arjun managed to dodge the question with the ease of a pro and gracefully.
"It was a great learning experience to work with Mr Bachchan. He is a tremendous actor and I think he delivers his finest performance in The Last Lear. Shah Rukh is a great friend, he is a great guy and in terms of work, he has such great energy that it rubs off on you."
His acting skills may not have gotten sharper over the years but his diplomacy sure has.
