Hello Mr karan, First of all thanks for the insight detailed questioning of Mr bradhan. Its funny to listen to his irrational funny answers. I can't understand how these highly calibred IAS,IPS and other officers work under these foolish leaders, as a true indian citizen i pray to god and strive hard to educate other people regarding our political scenario.

Bardan and his fellow communists have always displayed double standards. They have lent true meaning to the saying " Barking dogs never bite". They have not been able to influence the govt which they are part of, either in economic or foreign policies. As for the Presidential election, i cannot say anything other than the fact that we will now have rubber stamps occupying the 2 important posts of our country.

Dear Karan I was quite impresed with the above interview with Mr.Bardhan. I thought you were quite adept at bringing out the truth in politicians. But I saw your subsequent interview with Mr. Rajnath Singh,President of BJP and was disappointed.True,Mr.Singh was hardly a suitable candidate to answer your questions.I could have perhaps answered them better. But unfortunately he was on the hot seat. You must have perhaps, roped in Mr Arun Shiore for the job. This is assuming that you were looking for truth in reporting and not trying to hedge your bets-a balancing act of sorts-having grilled the Left let us euqalise it by grilling the BJP.Now to answer some of your questions-it occurs to me that some questions on Mr Biron Singh Sikawat are irrelevant at this point. It appears like telling some one who is seeking a chief executive's job that he stole a pencil from his neighbour when he was in the Kindergarden School.About the facts about the case which was quashed in Rajastan court regarding hoarding essential commodities-I have not come across this so far. If it was in the public domain this should have been brought up by any body even when considering Mr Shikat as VP.Obviously this is being raked up to counter the allegations against Mrs Patil. The fact of the matter remains that Mrs Patils CV has atleast two failed institutions and,the irony of it is that this was brought to public domain by your news channel not BJP. I would any day consider, reports of RBI or Public Liquidator as more sacroscant than that of an unknown indivdual, as in this case. The most important irony is that Mrs Pratibha Patil must have herself come out with a clarification to the allegations if there was nothing to it-before the nomination. This would have left the Public mind at ease. But mysteriously she failed to do this. This has inturn increased the gap between her and the Aam Admi.It seems very clear that the whole matter is being kept under warps to avoid embarrasing re-tracrIt.

Karan,
My heartfelt congratulations to you for winning the debate. Mr. Bardhan was left without any valid arguments as there were none even existing. It was a political convenience of the left who are no different from the NDA or the Congress in leading the baseless politicization of every issue in the country. It is very unfortunate that a senior politician like Mr.Bardhan is no exception to the prevailing rule in the political scenario of our country.
On a separate note I would also like to admire Karan on his ability to maintain such a cordial relationship with the top brass of almost all Indian Political parties and fighting this battle of "Devil's role" with them. It also requires a masterly execution of two pronged strategy of playing a devil's role at a friend's house!!!! I hope you get it.

Mr. Bardhan's main job and responsibility is to keep communal forces out of power in making any decision. Keeping in mind how he tried to defend his choice, one could see he himself was not supporting her but was bound to do so. He is not a true leader, A leader should lead by examples and should take his people even through tough patches to achieve the right goals. Today it has become even harder to call these people political leaders, these are only politician and no more a leader.
While defending there decisions at least use examples of our great leaders from past, these politician should say that since Mahatma Gandhi said this and this and/or other great leaders from past did this or that so we are also motivated to do this or that. But instead now they quote L K Advani and other politician from opposition party to defend there foul play. Two wrongs does not make anything right, it only worsen the matter.
Shame on all these politician!, In long term what they are trying to achieve? Or do they have any long term vision. Salute to our existing president of India, Sir we are working on your dream to make India a better and developed nation by 2020. Be there sir to see it yourself.

Congrats, Karan for a wonderful interview. I am sure Mr.Bardhan was squirming in his seat. The point is his favourite line was "I am not called upon to do this" and i am not called upon to do that". He is right. He along with his other left colleagues (barring the West bengal CM) have no responsibility or accountability; the only thing they are called upon to do is derail parliamentary democracy and impede economic progress. Thank god, he did not blame World Bank or George Bush for the failure of the cooperative bank. What more can one expect from putrfying, decaying ideology supported by xenophobic, rabid politicians serving their own narrow ends?

I enjoyed seeing this programme.I think Mr.Karan is one our finest journalists and this programme 'Devil's Advocate' is one of the best-comparable to any one in the world. I also think that the Communists of India area a bunch of idealogically bankrupt and pathetic people, who have been keeping the peoples of the states of West Bengal and Kerala in mortal fear and getting their votes for so many years. It is time they are kicked out for good. What better can you expect from these goons-who prefer to install another morally and pathetic individual as the President of India. The least they could have done under these circumstances (ie. if they had reservations about Mr. Biron Singh Shekawat) is to have supported the cadidacy of Dr.Abdul Kalam as a consensual candidate. It is universally acceped that Dr Kalam has done so well in the past five years, and made all Indians proud. This is the difference-BJP/NDA,thought,casted,as communalist, gave us a President who is a Muslim and of sterling qualities and enriched the Presidency as an institution. And Congress/UPA are about to force a President on Indians, who is tainted, does not evoke any admiration, under all likelyhood, expected to be a rubber stamp. If she is supported by the UPA,even after such serious allegations have surfaced, what else one can expect from her-except to stand at attention to rubber stamp every legislation that is put up by this Govt.?? I feel sorry for our country and its people, who certainly deserve better.I also feel sorry for democracy in India.
