Shimla: Minister of State for External Affairs, Anand Sharma, received a start when he was stopped before he could cast his vote.

Due to some confusion in the voter list, Sharma was not allowed to cast his vote on Wednesday morning in Shimla, when he went for the Himachal Assembly polls.

However, the matter was sorted out shortly.

“There was some problem with the electoral rolls,” explained Sharma. “They had put my picture against some other person's name. Later on, I produced my ID card and was allowed to vote.”
