Amritsar: Indeed it has been a long wait of 35 years for Kashmir Singh to be finally freed.
His family has seen the visuals of him being freed from the Lahore's Central Jail, the wait is now for the 11 a.m. meeting on Tuesday when he'll actually cross over from Pakistan to India from the Wagah border.
Our correspondent Jyoti Kamal spoke to Kashmir Singh's wife Paramjit Kaur.
Jyoti Kamal: How does it feel to see your husband free?
Paramjit Kaur: We are very happy that he has been released, we are very thankful to Mr Burney. I'm glad that he looks healthy even though we were informed he was ill.
Jyoti Kamal: He said that he would wear a suit before he came back. How are you getting ready?
Paramjit Kaur: I have not made any special preparations, I shall go as I am.
