'Meat dressed' Lady GaGa in PETA campaign

Los Angeles: She was slammed by PETA for wearing a dress made out of meat at last year's MTV awards, but pop star Lady Gaga has been chosen by the animal rights group to front it's anti-fur campaign.
The 'Pokerface' hitmaker along with Pink and Mariah Carey are the new faces of PETA's 'Fur-Free and Fabulous' campaign, following the footsteps of Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey, reported People magazine.
"GaGa's out-there outfits never include real fur. Last year, when she wore a dress made of fluffy Kermit the Frog dolls, she explained, 'I thought it was commentary on not wearing fur, because I hate fur and don't wear fur'," said
PETA in a press statement.
Pink and Carey too were chosen for the campaign because of their anti-fur stances. The former, along with Ricky Gervais, recently helped PETA with its 'Stolen for Fashion' video, and the latter famously donated sable coats she received as gifts to the organisation which, in turn, gave them to the homeless.
Billboards featuring their famous faces will go up on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon, February 2.
Last year's 'Fur-Free and Fabulous' ad featured First Lady Michelle Obama and media mogul Oprah Winfrey.
