Indian locked up in Spain, no reason provided

LOCKED UP: Roshan Jamal Khan has been in prison since January 19.
Mumbai: Roshan Jamal Khan, 50, made a trip to Spain in September 2007 for a business deal he hoped would set his career. His dream is a nightmare now.
Roshan, along with 14 other people, was detained on January 19 and charged with plotting a terrorist attack. A former student of Mumbai's prestigious St Xavier's college, Roshan went to Spain in September last year with the hope of making it big in the olive business.
The Ministry of External Affairs says it still has no word from Spain on the charges that have been pressed against Khan. It says Spain gave consular access to Roshan after a month and that too because India applied “considerable” pressure on Spain. Roshan is being looked after well now, it says.
The procedural delays and lack of official communication from Spain is worrying Roshan’s family.
“Muslims are being targeted. Dr Haneef Ahmed was framed and so is my brother Roshan,” says Mehboob Khan.
