Dear sirs,
Every week about this time it is announced
that inflation has again gone up and has reached all
time high.Government comes up with the statement that
it would be controlled soon. The opposition parties
want furhter corrective steps to be taken though none
of them have any right suggestion to give. The week
passes and the next announcement comes. The common man
though not worried much but has started feeling that
some major problem is in store for the country.like
a patient in serious condition in the hospital not
responding to any medicine, our economy does not appear
to be responding to any fresh controls or proposals.
We normally pray to the divine power in such serious
conditions when the doctors themselves are worried. Now
We should better call off the breaking of Ram sethu and
start praying sincerely for Lord Ram to come to our
rescue.

n g kamath Central and State Gopvernments' steps to contain the inflation is yet to be felt and seems to be farfetched. In the final analysis, the middle class rich of India and China are blamed since this propserity do not match with any improvements in supply side. Under the circumstances, only option now left for the aam admi is to creat downward pull on demand side either by reducing the purchases and their quality or ultimately recall Lal Bahadur Sashtri's miss a meal programme.
