Mumbai: India's annual inflation rate is expected to have risen to 11.63 per cent in the week ended June 21, Indian media said on Friday.
The Financial Chronicle newspaper quoted finance ministry estimates as saying the number, due at noon, would be 11.63 per cent and later television channels also said the reading would come in at 11.63 per cent.
This would put the wholesale price index at 237.1 points, up from 236.1 points a week earlier.
A Reuters poll on Thursday had forecast annual inflation at 11.44 per cent on June 21, its highest in more than 13 years, above the previous week's 11.42 per cent.
