India is right now where it is due to the hardwork of its Citizens. The People of India Chose to Educate themself , Work Hard , Eat Contaminated Food that the govt has procured , battle all the Police / Politians and Goonda's ( I dont see any difference in the 3 of them ) and worked hard to come up and every government is trying to get the credit for this. There is no Infrastructure , Medical Facility , Schools , Colleges , etc provided by govt. Raj Thackery is fighting with Amithab Bachan that he didnt establish School in Maharashtra. Is it not the Govt's responsibility to setup schools. Well Kamal Nath is out there for all the Media before Elections.

It is not India's century yet but it can become one, if politicians don't interfere with reservations and loan waivers etc and focus on infrastructure development of the country.

Mr. Nath could be right with this observation but he missed out one major point and that the biggest stumbling block to India reaching its rightful place in the league of Nations is the bureaucracy, Government and corrupt politicians. The national wastage on account of red tapism and shoddy governance across central and state level administrations robs all citizens irrespective of caste, class or creed of much needed development. Regretably no party is willing to take the bull by its horns, no not even the morally so upright, leftists, whose record of 31 years of governance or no governance in West Bengal is a case in point. There is no hope in sight that we will see less of government in our day to day life as in the name of poverty alleviation and scheduled caste upliftment, we find government interference in every sphere of life increasing, especially when it is closer to elections dates. The considered view of a large number of people in this country is that we have politicians who lack any foresight and ideas in governance and the few who are around are generally unable to make an impact. However, the people of this country go about their work with minimum expectations from governments or political parties but believing in the neccessity of maintaining democracy, as the best alternative, thereby contributing to a robust and growing India, which is why you have Indian owned penthouses in New York.

Let India address the infrastructure issue urgently and create sufficient capacity in terms of ports, roads, warehouses and trains. India has the capability to manufacture whatever China produces and also to maintain the cost competitiveness. But if the supporting infrastructure facilities are not available, we cannot effectively participate in the world trade. China is not cheap anymore for certain products. Chinese labour costs have gone up. Many industries from China have moved to Vietnam. India can also be an alternative.

This man really must have had 10 Tequilas. There is no comparison between China's Meticulously drawn, planned out progression to India's lopsided, jerky, unplanned progression. Economic progression is not money power to some 10-15% of the population that is educated - it is the combined progress in living conditions, SUSTAINED economic prosperity for the other 90% rural, semi-rural population, improving administrative systems like law enforcement, developing infrastructure across a swath of graded cities within states and dissemination of information. Show me atleast ONE of these that India has done correctly, Mr Nath !!

Kamal Nath is a typical Indian looking for premature celebration of India's 21st century dominance, and producing a damp squib, if he would be still around. Please don't justify the present. Produce 10% growth consistently for a decade. Match and go beyond China's exports, BOP, exchange reserves, per capita income, ruthless 'might is right' attitude, strategic penetration into Africa deeper, Chinese governance by any name, their belligerence on claiming Arunachal Pradesh and other disputed border areas by claiming parts of China instead, free Tibet as an independent country and herald India into that lofty pre-eminence and then you do not need to talk! Otherwise Mr. Kamal Nath, you are more than a match for idle boastful VK Krishna Menon of 1960s! Action is always louder than words, and your anarchic practice of Indian democracy is the problem.
