New Delhi: Fifteen road construction workers have been buried by a landslide at Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir.

A portion of the hill came down on them when they were working on National Highway 1B there.

Eight bodies have been removed from under the rubble, and the police say that there is little hope for the survival of the other seven workers.

Trucks carrying the labourers of General Reserve Engineering Force came under the landslide during road construction work at Thalaran area on Kishtwar-Sinthan road in the district, defence sources were quoted by news agencies as saying.
