New Delhi: President APJ Abdul Kalam was given an official farewell by both the members of the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha as they gathered in the Central Hall of the Parliament to listen to his farewell speech.

‘The People’s President’ spoke of his favourite topic- Vision 2020.

And it is this vision of India that the President will be carrying with him from Rashtrapati Bhawan to his new house at 10, Rajaji Marg.

It is a vision that he will revisit and may be even elaborate on, in his library cum study on the first floor of the building.

The President will also carry the thought in his front lawns, a reminder of the Mughal gardens that he leaves behind.

The four bedrooms, and a guest room in the house perhaps will be rarely used, but Kalam's new house is far from ready yet.

Says one of the labourers constructing the house, “It will take two months to be ready completely. We need to plaster it, paint it and do some electricity work.''

The President’s men had plans of seeing that the President shifts from the Rashtrapati Bhavan to Rajaji Marg, but with the house not yet ready, does it mean that the President has been left rather homeless?

However, this time, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces has found help from the Indian Army.

Willing to host the President, the Army has allotted a guesthouse for the President's stay.

On July 25, soon after his successor take oaths, President Kalam will shift to his temporary address in Delhi cantonment.

The guesthouse is maintained by the Indian Army and is meant for high-risk commanders.

But for this visionary, home perhaps will be the Anna University in Tamil Nadu where the President hopes to spend his time teaching.

And it is here that the People's President will further his vision for an Incredible India.
