Kolkata Court to announce Rizwanur case verdict

JUDGEMENT DAY: The guilty could face at least 10 years in jail for abetting Rizwan's suicide.
Kolkata: The Kolkata High Court will announce the verdict on what is being called the 'forced' suicide case of Rizwanur Rahman, the 30 year old graphic designer on Thursday.
The CBI had chargesheeted Rizwan's father-in-law Ashok Todi, his brother Pradeep Todi and an NGO worker Syed Mohiuddin, better known as Pappu.
All were charged for abetment to suicide. Pappu had threatened Rizwan of dire consequences if he did not divorce Priyanka.
Four senior police officials have also been chargesheeted. They are: Deputy Commissioners of police Gyanwant Singh and Ajay Kumar, former Assistant Commissioner of the Detective Department, Sukanti Chakraborty, and sub-inspector Krishnendu Das.
If found guilty, they could face at least 10 years in jail for abetting Rizwan's suicide.
