Global warming is a long-term threat like no other to the survival of multiple species. If the sea level increases by even one metre, at least seven million people would be displaced along India's coastline. More lethally, marine life has already started dying with the rise in oceanic temperatures. In Lakhswadweep, 93 per cent of the corals now lie dead at the bottom of the Arabian Sea.
