Noida: Noida has now become a crime capital, and many former top cops admit that the UP police force is not equipped to deal with crime in the changed demographics.

  • Remains of at least 19 children, all brutally murdered.
  • The bold kidnap of three-year-old Anant, son of a multinational CEO.

  • The unsolved murder of 14-year-old Aarushi.
  • The killing of two teenagers by their families for an alleged affair.
  • On Monday, there has been the death of a CEO at the hands of his own employees.

Stories that have given Noida a bad name a criminal profile that is haunting other entrepreneurs in the area.

"If the police had been there, this could have been avoided", says, chairman, Indian Industries Association, Jitendra Pareek.

The Noida police admitted they were not prepared for what unfolded at the Graziano Transmissions factory.

Industries associations also feel that Monday's incident is only the beginning of a larger problem- that of a failing law and order situation in Noida.

With just 1,200 policemen to watch over 5 lakh people spread over 200 square kilometers. It’s a long way to go for a township that aspires to be the 'Singapore' of India.
