Ghaziabad: The lawyer, who contested for an accused in last year's Varanasi bomb blast case, on Saturday decided to withdraw from the case in the wake of bomb blasts in Uttar Pradesh.

Advocate Ayub Ali said after the death of 13 people in the blasts on Thursday, he felt humiliated to defend Wahib Ullah Khan and has decided to withdraw himself from the case.

Ali will inform his decision to Wahib Ullah in the Dasna district jail here and also intimate the court for not contesting his case anymore, he added.

Earlier, advocate Ajay Beer Singh had withdrawn himself from the case. Lawyers in Varanasi too had denied to contest the accused's case.

The accused was transferred to Ghaziabad jail last year as Allahabad High Court had shifted his case from Varanasi to Ghaziabad.
