Mayurdas Bholanath Mr. Mallya has proven himself to be a bad loser. One does not know how much money he was prepared to spend for "buying" the players for his team. In other words did he provide the selectors with adequate budget? To me it seems that he was more interested in spending money on arranging for inappropriately clad obscene-acting "cheer-girls" than in getting the appropriate players for his team. Users of his airlines beware - when it comes to crunch time Mr. Mallya is likely to ditch his "guests"!!

SB First of all, I think we are spending unnecessary time on discussing things like this which are of no significance. This is after all a game for entertaining the audience. This was hyped beyond the scope by the BCCI having the strong financial arm.
Even the media is to be blamed for its share of importance given to games of this nature. There are lot of other issues we have which could be highlighed and lets try to get some viable solution to those.

basker Dravid, Kumble, Kallis are not suitable for T20 Games. Even a child watching cricket will tell you this. Why blame someone for his own mistake? Mallya you need to be blamed. If you expect an aggressive innings from Dravid you are a big fool. He has his own class and he is one of the best in test cricket.

Shyamal Bhattacharjee Dear Friends,
This GREAT gentleman has a habit of leaving the best of the job for the REST to do it.He likes resting when needed to to the best.
He owns a football team EAST-BENGAL.He completely after 2003, left the fate of the team to the club administrator to run the show. The result was-A SHIT.It was only the coach Mr manoranjan Bhattacharjee, whose tactical brain , and immaculate planning saved East-Bengal from relegation.
Mallaya has NO sence of GAMES and SPORTS.He has the MOOLAH and the Mrs in plenty. These simply to not bring about any positive results when they are influxed and injected into the game.
Unfortunately or otherwise, he always has a pack of CHAMCHAS who hover around him, to select his army, whether the lasses to pose themselves in nude, for his WINE ADS, or to form his team, in Formula Racing, in Football and now in cricket.
His chronies and his chanchas simply do not have the knowledge of any games and sports, but they recommend, and he chooses them.Whenever it happens, and if the results are topsy-turvy, he comes up with his blickering and blitzkering satements, just as the same way as it has come now.
Mr Mallya, SPORTS and WINE cannot be mixed as both are different acts altogether.
Infact the East-Bengal authorities are feeling now, that it is better if he leaves East-Bengal, as they would be able to do better with sponsors like the Reliance, which has shown a great interest in that team. But that won,t happen as mallaya will not take him away from it.
Mr Mallay, do you have the courage to show the door to Rahul,Kumble,Kallis, and the likes of them.NO-BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT CHARU SHARMA.
Please do not blame others for your own ignorance. This is what happens when you pay 2.50lakhs to somebody, who is not worth 25paise.
The East Bengal team gets 3 crores from you, whereas the Dravid,s get 4 crotres from you.Hope now you would learn what is game and sports, and correct yourself
Thanks
Regards
Shyamal Bhattacharjee

Santosh While Bangalore may have a test team, there are other teams, like Hyderabad which has players more suited to the One day and T20 format. Where are they? They are also at the bottom of this list. Their captain Laxman hasnt been playing the last few matches for whatever reasons but it doesnt seem to have made any difference to their fortunes. The Bangalore team needs a little more support from Mallya. I doubt if Dravid would have had a hand in selecting Charu Sharma as CEO! It looks like Mallya is a poor judge in selecting leaders as he himself is a poor leader by blaming his foot soldiers in the middle of a battle. Everything cant be about the money invested and the brand image of the company. You cant fault the players. They are playing their best with their limited T20 skills!

Ranita When you select test players for Twenty20, what do you expect. Dravid, Ganguly, Laksman are past their prime and should not play this form of the game.

vivan Winners make winning team- Shane Warne and MS Dhoni
Average captains make average team- Ganguly, Sachin
Poor captain make poor team - Dravid, Laxman

This would be a revelation for next year's team selection !!

Rajeev Its not fair to comment that way Mr.Mallya.
as many other readers commented its not fair you speak that way whena a team is at loss. Its no secret that Dravid is not a T20 Player. But he has his own style which can be suited to T20 As well. Each team neeeds one such player to stabilize things at the other end. Also from history it is a known fact that Dravid could fire whenever needed.

Selecting Dravid is nothing wrong. If Dravid and Kumble are not selected, the team could never be consideredas a Bangalore Team and loses locals support, where Kannadigas and Bangaloreans regard them as native and great players. So they should have been there as a brand to the Title of the team.
Except Badrinath and rejuvenated Balaji, is there any considrabale Chennai guy to call the team they are representing as 'Chennai Super Kings'? The only factor to call it as a Chennai team is Film Actor Vijay representing it as an Ambassador.

Like wise Hyderabad opting for Laxman is no wrong.

Ther problem is the rest of the team composition. For Bangalore Kallis and Boucher are there. But their badluck is they didnt click [Pls remember there is no Australian as they are having a Roller Coaster ride in this Tourney]. The loss of Bangalore is sheer bad luck. The great players didnt do well, and 30 percent team composition made Bangalore to fail.
But its diff case for Hyderabad. The team has stalwarts, and still they could not win. They have altogether a diff story for their loss.

Well, I once again, stress that the failure of Bangalore can be converted in to success if Mr. Malya sits with them and provides inspiration and confidence and as a team they could really come back. Next year they could bring few hitters like Chris Gayle, REcordo Powell, Flintoff, Peterson etc.

Pls donot demoralize the team. Best words from the Boss and the captain will revive the team. Never put an axe on their neck ask them to perform by providing insecurity.

Prasad First of all, Mallya is no stranger to sports administration. Other than the Royal Challengers, Dr Mallya owns two Football clubs and an F1 team. He also actively supported one group in the recent elections for Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA).

Mallya, Charu, Venki, Dravid and the team all have made mistakes. Looks like very little can be salvaged this year. Best Mallya can hope for are a few wins to end the season on a high note. But under Dravid the team hasn't come even remotely close to winning. Mallya can't even get rid of Dravid, who is an "icon". So, by going public with his comments, Mallya probably hopes Dravid would stand down from captaincy.

There's already talk of trading the icon players before next season. Whenver that happens, Dravid would be the first one to go sale. It's differnet issue whether there would be any buyers.
