DESIGNER MOVES: Manish Malhotra claims his collection is inspired by the 'vintage look.'
Mumbai: Designer Manish Malhotra is all set to launch his new collection - Freespirit - at the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week. Reflecting the unpredictable feature of this collection is the theme "unpredictability"!
"The theme of my collection is inspired by the vintage look and yes, I have experimented with a bit of red,” he says.
Along with some familiar Lakme faces - Indrani Dasgupta, Vipasha Agarwal and Amrit Maghera, actress Raima Sen too was spotted at the do. Raim gave us some good news about her grandmother Suchitra Sen who was hospitalised on Tuesday.
"She is doing fine. That’s why I am here,” she said.
Meanwhile, Malhotra’s Bollywood connection remains intact with him having contributed to Yash Raj's latest family drama Laaga Chunari Mein Daag
"Yes I have designed clothes for Konkana Sen and have tried to give her a very subtle look,” he says.
Malhotra is scheduled to feature his latest line at the Grand Finale of the Lakme Fashion Week on October 17.
