I went & saw this movie, first day first show,thinking it would be a good movie or a time pass.But to my surprise,my head was spinning in the middle of it. I couldn’t understand Rani & Shahrukh characters.I didnt understand why rani wasnt happy about her marriage?why was it so easy for her to look outside her marriage Extramarital affairs are taboo in indian society but what pushed rani? You cant just sleep around. Coming to Shahrukh's character, if he isnt happy with his present wife what are the chances that he would be happy with anyone else when he is already frustrated in life. Lastly, why these characters didn’t do anything hard to sustain their marriages? It seemed that they were bored and wanted to get out.I am married and I live in US,and forgodsake even a Gora or NRI wouldnt do something like this,unless some real dire circumstances. What was wrong between these couples that couldnt be fixed? This movie made a mockery of marriage & made an infidelity an "IN" thing to do. I wasnt expecting that climax. Mr Masand, a reader would expect a fair balanced reviews rather than candy flossed one. I am afraid to say that you lost my trust in your show or reviews.

Seriously?
I went to PVR and i got tickets immediately. Apparently people have been returning tickets constantly. I was surprised i got 4 tickets immediately with good seats. i asked the counter guy, he said people have been returning tickets so slots have all opened up for the week.

For frist 5 days the advance booking was done a week back. After 1st week the fate of the movie will be decided.

Horrible movie, please dont waste ur money on this, karan johar i guess is a over rated director probably he knows only one way of taking movies. i guess he stoled some ones story for kuch kuch hota hai, because his last two movies showed his talent. he is never or ever will be a better director and he shouldnt be ranked among the greats maniratnam or ram gopal or whoever in indian cinema.waste of money and waste of actors time.

the verdict that mr.masand gave seems more of a comment from a karan johar friend rather than a neutral public fugure like critic.the film is fairly a good one but the film was streched a lot in the last hour.karan johar may have saved some money if he had ended the film early and the people would have saved some time. Fianlly it was mot a movie to spend Rs.350.people go for omkara rather than KANK.And Mr.masand next time please be more neutral.

Its one thing for a filmmaker to make a bad movie. After all every artist deserves to make crap atleast once in their life. Its not their fault. Its the creative aspect. But its a whole other thing for critics to let bad directors get away with bad movies. A filmmaker's job is to be creative, good or bad, there is no judgement in art. But a critic is a person and criticing is a job which is based on judgement, and if a critic can't even judge properly, then maybe they should switch careers.

i think the movie was too long......and even though it was a karan j movie, which usually boasts to be a complete package....there was something missing...i guess it was because the protagonists here show a slightly negative shade....thats wat made the movie a bit different and new.... kudos to ABJr...amazing performance....and so music was amazing ..priety looked her best...and obviously Mr.AB rocked..rani looked as if she had taps for eyes.......but the best part of the movie was the cute kid......so any way..i think it has lived up to the ppls expectations....good job Mr.johar...the story could have been a bit better though..
