Vidisha The movie is great. What makes you sulk when it also has a message to convey. You know sometime it is just not necessary to analyze things reactively. Though opinions are subjective, but I seriously respect the aspect the movie showed. And, please have some encouragement for stars like SRK and Juhi who do good job as the second fiddle in the movie.

Anyways, looks like u did not enjoy it as much as we did. Never mind!

sharmi a movie starts with endless possibilities and ends up with a big zeroooooooo......that's what Bhootnath accounts for me.....shall remember this movie for Mr. Bachhan's another mindblowing performance........he is a GENIUs.........undoubtedly!!!!!!!

Naveen Khurana Mr.Masand for once i totally agree with your assessment. Bhootnath was definitely a movie in two halves - the first half very childish but definitely entertaining and the second half - Unneccessarily boring and emotional! The end suggests that the makers are planning to make a Bhootnath-2!! I dont know what they will show in part 2 when they didnt had a story to tell in the second part of this movie.

But Mr.Masand i would definitely like you to re-review your film ratings for Dhoom 2 (3 stars - it should be 2 at max.), Apne (1 star - should be atleast 2 stars considering you had rated Aap ka Saroor - 2 stars!!), Vivah (1 star) and Awarapan (3 stars!!!)

more Ryan An apt rating of 2/5 for an average film like Bhoothnath, just goes to prove that Rajeev Masand is the best critic & the only one around to be trusted blindly.
I watched the movie after going through 4/5 by Taran Adarsh, & must say Taran should quit being a critic.
The first half was watchable but the second, did'nt simply match upto the hilarious first.Filmakers should realise that audiences are bored of all those old formulaic films & want something new. Neverthless, kudos to Rajeev for a good job done.

more vinod Read Masand and expect the opposite. I do same. This guy is second wife of Bakara Khan. He praises only the movies of Bakara khan.

Satyajit Nayak Mr.Masand i am really confused about your taste of movies..Bhootnath is one of the best movie i have ever seen. It's an excellent movie..and for today's generation it's a good movie about respecting elders ..Mr.India was not a children movie..It has sexy and vulgar songs like kate nahin katte..but you will never see such a neat and clean film like Bhootnath, not only for children but for whole family..I will say Bhootnath is the best film of 2008..Every one should watch it..

Vidhushak !! How come Masand's memory fails in NOT naming the erstwhile black & white GOLDIES such as the AVM's "Hum Panchi Ek Daal ke", Raj Kapoor's "Boot Polish" and the recent Mani Ratnam's "Anjali" (in Tamil) ..??

Vidya Mr India was hardly a children's film. My little daughter was traumatized by the little girl blown up by the bomb. So, for me, the film simply had lots of children and a magical hat. Let us not call it a children's film.
