Saini Village: A month-old baby Lali, some 50-kilometers from Delhi, is born with an extremely rare condition called a craniofacial disorder, which gives her four eyes, two noses, two mouths but just 2 ears.

According to medical records, globally there are only 35 documented cases of this condition and only one baby survived, before Lali.

However, this rare medical case has not just become a religious frenzy in the village, Lali's parents and the village head are also minting money in her name.

They have signed an exclusive coverage contract with the UK-based September Films, Channel 4. The events are shaping up in the form of an international media war in the orthodox Hindu village with British, Indian and even a German media house waiting for an interview with the village head.

“A two-faced girl is born in our village. We have signed an agreement with a company. We can say nothing more than this,” says the village head (Pradhan).

Lali is certainly a miracle baby, to have survived without any medical help. However, villagers at Saini Village are not interested in getting doctors' opinions. The villagers are worshipping her as an incarnation of Goddess Durga. They are singing bhajans, and building a temple in her name.

In the bargain, one life that has become an object of ridicule is that of Lali, who requires immediate medical attention.
