Monsoon hits Kerala coast 4 days early

RAINY DAYS: The Met Department had predicted that monsoon would hit the Indian coast ahead of schedule.
New Delhi: The South-West Monsoon hit the Kerala coast on Monday, four days in advance. The normal date for the monsoon to hit the state is June 1.
Kerala, Lakshadweep, parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu experienced rain though dry weather continues to prevail over Andhra Pradesh and Telengana region.
Heavy showers were experienced in Kanyakumari, Alapuzha, Thrissur Koyyatayam, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram.
The Meteorological Department had earlier predicted that monsoon would hit the Indian coast ahead of schedule.
