Getting arbitrarily drilled is not exactly a sign of emancipation. Maybe a sign of modernity, but not emancipation. Like it or not, non-chaste brides are damaged goods.

It really shows how close minded Indian women are. Why do you always think that Indian men sleep with so many women before getting married and expect their wife to be a virgin. If majority of Indian men are expecting their wifes to be virgin, may be they are also of the same status, and it is nothing wrong to expect the same. Why the thinking is always against men. Even if women do many things behind scenes, nothing will come out, and if it comes out, they can easily disguise that as "exploitation". Please get off the double standards.

it shows how closed minded all the Indian men are.What qualifies them to expect a girl who is a virgin? I wonder why even after so many years the mindset of men has not altered even a bit.Even today women to them are an object something they can have fun with when they want and whichever way they want there are very few men who actually feel that women are also human and also feel and think like they do. What goes for them should also be for women I dont understand why there should be so much of discrimination.

i feel most of the youths turning to be live like western countries n try to follow the same .it is really wont fit for indians .our traditional culture ill spoil.most of the foreign culture are turning to ourside tey like ours but here it is opposite.both male / female are equal but they hav to undersatand their limits.my personal suggestion is wait till marriage then u can hav the desire its for both.

Hey Guys, I have seen a few of my friends who think on similar lines even though they are not which I think is hypocritical. I would say that if you want a virgin to be your partner you better be one and try to get one. As far as my opinion regarding my partner being virgin I am not really bothered by it if she stays true to me after marriage. Also, I agree that a similar poll should be conducted on females to find out their view point.

I have serious doubts on the veracity of these results, knowing very well that something shocking is required to sell their magazine, I wont be surprised if IT manipulated the results or discarded some sample data.
