Ladies everywhere have been waiting for this, and now it's finally here.
London: The fashionable foursome - Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda - are back as the much awaited movie version of the Sex and the City has premiered in London.
The ride from TV screen to the big screen hasn't been seamless. There were reported squabbles over the cast's pay, doubts whether the characters lives had enough left in them to sustain a full feature and disappointment in New York that the film is premiering in London.
"That sucks, you know why? Because it's a Manhattan-based show, it's sex in the city!" a New Yorker says.
The stars of the show say New Yorkers shouldn't feel slighted.
"My message to them is we're coming home! We are bringing this movie home to America, its birthplace, to our city and this is a wonderful way to arrive home," says Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays the role The New York columnist Carrie Bradshaw.
The film's plot has been a top secret and the leading ladies want it to stay that way until the movie opens in New York.
That's fueled speculation about the fate of the girlfriends. Will someone die in the movie? Will the friendships last? Will there be a happy ending?
Fairy tale ending or not those who attended the London premier know the answer already? Others have to wait another two weeks till the film opens to the public - to find out how the Sex and the City story ends.
