New Delhi: One of this year's most awaited releases, Tashan will not release in most multiplexes across the country on Friday.

Talks on revenue sharing failed on Thursday between Yashraj Films and multiplex owners, so multiplex chains such as Cinemax, Adlabs, Inox, PVR, Fame, Fun Cinemas and Movietime have all refused to screen Tashan.

Though an agreement on the revenue sharing ratio had been arrived at for Mumbai, they could not reach a mutual agreement for cities outside Mumbai where Yashraj was demanding 55 per cent share of the first week's revenue.

Earlier too Yash Raj's Dhoom was not released in multiplexes and recently Welcome, Jodhaa Akbar and Taare Zameen Par faced a similar problems, missing the first day collections.

However, a compromise was reached by the second day and all these films were released on the second day. So there is still some hope for those who are waiting to see Tashan at a multixplex.
