raj The ruling implies that the residents have been swindled by the government agencies. The judge could have also mentioned that in his ruling if the case had been properly produced before him. The winners are again the same agencies as they will now try to take back the land after having made money from it. Or convince the residents to give up more money as fines in order to help "bail" them out of the situation. Instead of being punished for cheating and negligence, these agencies will be lording over the people.

Namith Well its ridiculous the court is ruling that in spite of possessing certificates the houses will be deemed unauthorized . If thats the case whats the significance of possessing certificates ? why should we be paying large sums on stamp duty and registration, if it doesn't stand for anything ? this brings in a question on the authenticity of the rules, regulations and law set by government. are we supposed to follow it or not ?

Sachin Purohit Has any estimate been made on the tangible and intangible losses the Mumbaikars have taken because of the way National Park has literally been raped by the builders mafia over the years. Its unfortunate that the common man has to pay the price for the unauthorized constructions on forest land whereas it should be the builders and the State Government that should be told to take the tab because all of this has been made possible only because of their unholy nexus. The way forward definitely cannot be to authorize something that is prima facie unauthorized. Lets together save the only green patch we have in Mumbai.
