Mumbai: The Johnny Walker One Tree Music festival is back in Mumbai and this time the festival is going heavy on blues.
Blues rock guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Joe Bonamassa is all set to play at the Music Fest on February 9. So how is he going to make an impression?
“We are going to wear are striped shirts and will try to make a good impression,” says Bonamassa.
Bonamassa is anxious but he is not alone. Five times Grammy Award-winning blues musician Robert Cray who will be opening the two-day music fest is also singing the same tune.
"Well! It is complicated and an interesting music,” says Cray.
Bonamassa of course had a more interesting take on the subject.
"It is like Richard Gere being chased around,” he quips.
The musicians are all ready to strum some blues into the night. There is however, one small myth yet to be busted, which Bonamassa make it easy.
"Blues music is not about poverty,” says Bonamassa.
