Mumbai: At 56, not many would like to do something new. But actor Naseeruddin Shah thinks otherwise.

Naseeruddin Shah is probably the oldest debutant in Bollywood.

"I think it happened at the right time. May be earlier than this would not have been so good. So, I think things fall in place for you at the right time," Naseer says.

"Life is series of accidents. And if those accidents happen at the right time then you should consider yourself lucky."

The accident actor Naseeruddin Shah is referried to is Yun Hota To Kya Hota.

After acting in nearly 150 films in the last 30 years, Naseer is finally making his directorial debut with Yun Hota To Kya Hota.

"I feel like a 20-year-old. I always felt like that. I have never felt older than 20. And I can still beat lot of 20 years old at tennis. That’s how I feel about the new innings, which makes me happy," says the actor-director.

The film has an ensemble cast that includes Konkona Sen Sharma, Ayesha Takia, Irfan Khan, Paresh Rawal, Jimmy Shergill, Boman Irani, Saroj Khan and Ratna Pathak Shah.

Yun Hota To Kya Hota has four parallel stories connected with a common end and will be showcased at International Film Festival of India to be held in Dubai in 2006.

The film officially releases on July 21, which is just a day after Naseer's birthday. So technically Naseer is a debudant at 57.

But even he doesn’t know whether he will continue to make movies.

"I don’t know. That (making more movies in the future) will depend on lot of factors. But I would certainly like it," Naseer says.
