Suhas When US is specifying Jan as the limit, it is most reasonable. Any deal can not get prolonged on one pretext or other. Some time the deal must be concluded and time frame left have given has no meaning since they can change that time frame as and when they want.
Left can not keep others guissing about their next move and possibally at the end of 6 months they will call for extention again.
As PM has said that 123 deal draft was issued to left as well as BJP, why they did not make any comments at that time. Possibally, KARAT and CO was busy finalising their " STRATEGY "
Mr. karat and CO must understand that world will not wait for us forever. Either you throw away the deal or accept. Dont keep it hanging. No decision is always very very very bad mr. karat rather than wrong decision.
INDIA is now capable of handling any complex situation arising out of the deal. Let us make maximum profit out of the deal. In every deal you get something and you give something. Either parties gain and loose something. What is important is that how we use the deal for our own benefit.
LAST: Do u think you and your left stalwerts are wiser than several scientists and ruling party wisemen? Actually you are neither wise nor brave. You are a bunch of people who are afraid of taking bold decisions and yhis reflects your wisdom.

Anis The time frame is very important because it has a lot to do with action on Iran time frame. Combine this with this morning's report in 'The Statesman' that USA wants India to come clean on its military ties with Iran - the onus lies on India to clarify her position. These are all related.

India US nuclear deal is conditional - India must side with USA against Iran in the forth coming war. Perhaps India may have to be a party to the effort. This war is being planned for about March - April 2008. India has to accept the Indo US nuclear agreement before then and then follow up by accepting a whole range of new conditions making it absolutely impossible to exit from pro USA stance.

The very language - the onus is on India to come clean on her miliary ties with Iran'. I shudder to think but it now looks real that we too are likely to be treated as Iraq, Iran or North Korea. Please remember that onus was on Saddam Hussain to prove Iraq did not have WMD. Can anyone do that - Iraq could not despite clearance from UN Inspectors. Then Iraq was attacked. This is the nature of USA - treachery, lies and deceit. They have all the vile elements in their character.

I appeal to Mr Manmohan Singh to think hundreds of times before tying with USA - we will end up as a war monger's helper - not after 60 years of clean slate?

Sachin Purohit If anyway the actual commissioning of nuclear plants would happen only after 2020, why is Washington in so much hurry to sign off this deal? Beats me!
