Dhiren This is for the very passive people, corrupt gov officials and blind gov of Orissa. The public TB hospital at chandpur in khurda district in Orissa once used to be the best TB hospital in the state. Poor people from all parts of the state use come their for treatment. But the present condition of the hospiatl is at its worst. It has become now a cattle shed. No doctor, no sanitation nothing. TB is a deases of poor and this hospital can longer provide treatment to even poorest. Hopefully the people will woke up for thier own right.

rubeus Few things that should be considered to prevent the MDR-TB strains from emerging is
1. Increase awareness that TB is curable
2. Check on HIV related illness
3. deaths reported also might include HIV patients in whom the incidence is invariable high. So study the incidence in HIV free people alone which will give a better insight.
3. Prevent misuse by local practitioners and RMP's who have sorted to prescribing Anti TB drugs without confirming the disease.
