Obama changes political stance, popularity dips

POLLS APART: On June 20, the Newsweek poll showed Obama leading 51 per cent to McCain's 36 per cent.
New Delhi: Democratic presidential candidate, Senator Barack Obama now leads Republican opponent John McCain by only 3 per cent. The poll figures were reported in Newsweek magazine.
The magazine said Obama's lead has dropped sharply from the 15 per cent advantage he enjoyed last month.
In Illinois,Obama captured 44 per cent of respondents' support in the poll, while McCain captured 41 per cent support in the poll in Arizona.
On June 20, the Newsweek poll showed Obama leading 51 per cent to McCain's 36 per cent.
In the new poll, more than 50 per cent of the voters believe that Obama has changed his position on key issues in order to gain political advantage.
