sumit ghosal The whole issue of pakistan pumping in terrorism and fake currency is due to reasons that the pakistani establisment have been brought up as indian hate centric society. It would be ages before any sense can prevail in pakistan to understand that this hatred would burn them too.

vivitha All these activities are completely backed by the Gulf countries. One wonders why despite all the intelligence reports the GOVT is clearing the investment by certain countries such as these in Airlines,Real Estate,Shipping,Money Exchanges etc which are the major sectors of the economy. The Ministry of external Affairs has to be too cautious before clearing these investments as they are going to do more harm than good to the economy.Reports say with these fake currencies they are buying major properties in strategic locations of our country by offering double or triple the amount of the market price which nobody could offer, therby closing the choice for others to bid. This amounts to literally invasion by a foreign country through modern means. Because as owners they get the right to operate with authority in owr own country. When they offer Investment in our country GOVT should give a big 'NO THANKS' for the offer.

Dhananjay Why don't we post this article in BOLD to our honorable PM, who wants to draw the Line of Peace. This will never be allowed by Pakistan. It is our Politicians, who want to please the Muslim voters, who come up with this stupid ideas. Whereas, the Pakistani agencies like ISI are leaving no stones unturned in order to bring down our economy. This approach by Indian government is absurd....

KSV SUBRAMANIAN Why the government is not taking any action. Ordinary people are very afraid to take 500 or 1000 currency notes for fear of harassment from the police. The parliament should amend the law regarding fake currency notes. If such currencies in huge quantity are found in possession of any person or persons, the penalty should be death. But ordinary people with a few such currency notes should not be harrassed. Stringent punishment for such activities should be enforced.

Karavadi Raghava Rao This has been happening from 1990s.I was then working as a currency chest in Charge of the bank I worked. Then itself the RBI sent circulars cautioning us about the huge influx of Fake notes of Rs500 notes.During that time the real value of 500 was more than that is now.Giving a section of 500notes(A section contains100) was a favor then.Pakistan is doing all such activities because of a lot of internal collusion.Even Maoists are getting a lot of money. With money now a days any thing can be done. That too in our country where the Criminal Law is very soft.Hanging of Afazal seems to be a remote possibility. Our PM's statement that he did not get sleep seeing the pain and sorrow of the parents of Kafil and Shabeel connected to Glasgow Blasts gives further courage to such elements in the country. No political leader of UPA is opening his mouth on the recent incidents in Pakistan.Pakistan brought disgrace to the concept of Diplomacy and international relations. It will be better for India to severe the diplomatic ties with Pakistan completely. It is a shame to maintain diplomatic ties with a country which is smuggling fake currency in to another country.

Chary All borders of India are prone to these activities and our security is compromised because of lack of stable Governments in the neighboring countires and fanning of anti India feelings whenever there is a trouble in home land. In such scenario, the best possible strategy is to cover all loop holes preventing infiltration. Covering borders partially will not solve the problem as the chain can be strong as its weakest link. Also Indian Govt should think twice while introducing trains and buses without adequate security measures between us and neighboring countries

Hemant Bhat Subramaniam has raised a good point. Besides, with so many people travelling legally to & fro from Pak to India, by trains & buses; is it practically possible to check the counterfeit notes, that they may be carrying? While Western countries are all taking tough security measures to curb & prevent terrorism, it is sad that the Congress party of India looks the other way. India needs 100 times tougher laws than US or UK to prevent terrorism, because Pak is located next to India.
