Washington: After playing a secretary in a US sitcom, Britney Spears has been offered a job as a real-life receptionist from animal rights group People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA).
The pop star made a cameo appearance on CBS’ comedy show How I Met Your Mother and now PETA President Ingrid E Newkirk has made a written job offer to the 26-year-old star.
PETA bosses claim that their job offer is not an April Fool's Day joke, but said that they are asking Britney as she has earlier worn fur and bought animals from pet stores.
"After seeing your excellent performance on How I Met Your Mother, PETA would like to offer you a real job as a receptionist,” Contactmusic quoted Newkirk, as writing in the offer letter.
“It could be for as little as an hour, and you would see – from the inside – why we are so concerned about issues like fur and homeless dogs and cats. As a 'thank you' for your willingness to learn and help, we would donate $1,000 dollars to a children's charity,” he added.
