New Delhi: The Andhra Pradesh police on Wednesday withdrew security given to tennis star Sania Mirza. The security ahs been withdrawn because she hasn't paid the police the user fee of over Rs 2 lakh.

The police sent her two notices but Sania did not respond, so the police withdrew the two gunmen given to her.

The City Security Wing presently provides security to 143 persons including 16 VIPs and all of them are expected to pay a user fee of Rs 12,000 per gunman.

Among others to lose their security cover are TDP leader and businessman, Mohammad Saleem and film star Dr Rajshekar.

The Joint Commissioner of Hyderabad Police Kripanand Tripathi Ujala said that Sania needs to pay up for the security cover given to her soon.

"The threat perception report was filed and it was found out that she no longer needed security, but we still provided her with security for so many months. She needs to foot the bill for that," he says.
