Separatist leader Geelani calls Army run schools anti-Kashmir

Srinagar: Released after several months of home arrest, veteran separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani is holding public rallies and advocating poll boycott of next year's general and assembly elections. During a rally in Kupwara he lashed out the Army-run Sadbhavana project and the Goodwill school on Friday.
Geelani said the Sadbhavana works of Army were anti-Kashmir. The Army runs several goodwill schools across the state, some of which are showing good results. Geelani said, "The Goodwill schools preach waywardness and obscenity and should be shunned."
Geelani's unexpected release by the National Conference government after several months of detention has been criticised by national political parties. The main opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) too has questioned the timing of his release and blamed the NC government in Jammu and Kashmir for vote bank politics.
