Bhopal: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said in Bhopal on Wednesday that whatever Pakistan Army had done to two Indian soldiers is totally inhuman and unpardonable, but war should not take place between the two nations on the issue. "Whatever Pakistan has done is totally inhuman and cannot be justified. India should deal with the situation in a stern manner, but a war should not take place between the two countries on the issue," Kejriwal told reporters after announcing AAP's Madhya Pradesh Executive.
Kejriwal was answering a question on BJP's Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj's statement of beheading ten Pakistanis in retaliation for one Indian head. However, AAP's National Executive Member, Sanjay Singh said that after Army Chief General Bikram Singh's statement that the army will respond to the situation at an appropriate time and at a place of its choice, political parties should not play politics with such a sensitive issue.
"The country should respect and have faith in the Army Chief's words," Singh said. Kejriwal also said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Army Chief should have gone to the village of the two martyred soldiers to share their families' grief.
Kejriwal said that his party will contest the Delhi Assembly elections and will take an appropriate decision on contesting polls in other states, after discussions with its newly formed state units. AAP units have been constituted in 33 districts of
Madhya Pradesh, he said.
Kejriwal said that corruption, inflation and security of women are major issues before the nation and his party will raise these vociferously. Referring to the arrest of former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala in the teachers recruitment scam, he said that the issue was raised by him and his party would continue to expose corruption-related issues from February 1.
The party will raise the issue of corruption related to water and electricity in Delhi soon, while the concerned state unit will soon begin to expose such scams, which are plenty in Madhya Pradesh. He said that both BJP and Congress are equally corrupt and warned people, especially youth, not to be carried away by their attractive promises.
