Gandhi was racist in south africa how can he be any different in india?
Dr.Ambedkar::"There was nothing noble in the fast. It was a foul and filthy act. The fast was not for the benefit of the Untouchables. It was against them and was the worst form of coercion against a helpless people to give up the constitutional safeguards of which they had become possessed under the Prime Minister's Award and agree to live on the mercy of the Hindus. It was a vile and wicked act. How can the Untouchables regard such a man as honest and sincere?"
Merely worthless debate with hindu religious leaders will never count as dalit up-liftment.

Respected Friends, All people (Dalits and Non dalits) need to clearly understand and (most importantly) follow in spirit, the teachings of Dr B R Ambedkar.
He wanted legal justice as well as true peace&harmony in hearts of people.
He suggested the Path of Buddha as well for attaining true peace of mind. The teaching of Buddha are never sectarian. They are open to all religions, creeds, colors of people. To practice what Buddha taught, one may like to practice Vipassana Meditation, which is taught in ten day courses free of cost, in various centres all over world.
I myself am a Vipassana Meditator, and know that it works, it is non sectarian, and it is here-and-now in terms of results. Come and See !
I wish all peace and harmony. Thanks Vikas

Babasaheb was more focussed on the humanity issue as he had faced it since childhood. Both were right on their path, but babasaheb was more into it.I wish our Buddhist leaders could follow and understand atleast 5% of it.Our Buddhist leaders can't even dress-up,speak decently.I cant't see any good solid leader in the existing scenario who can really make a difference for the community.

jai bhim to all,in my sense DR.B.R.Ambedkar is true leader for dalits ,whatever work done by babasaheb is for dalit upliftment.freedom from unhuman pratices of hindu dharma. How it is possible in any religion that some group have high status and others have to do all the embrasing jobs. its unbelivable. India could't ablle to progress by following this religion.Babasaheb have given the original dharma ot india-Buddist it is gift from babasaheb to our society. And the case of gandhi who even does't liketo share one comman name to all dalits and his society.how he could be leader for dalits and offcourse our nation b'coz we constitute 22.5% in Indai.

it is unfortunate to compare two great persons in modern india who palyed a major role in different ways.i think nothing is infalliable, everything is subjected to critical rationalisation. considering above points, i could say that we should read ideas, visions, concepts, theories and so on for our present sitiuation without being emotional.from my personal experience through reading, discussion, contemplation , it seemed more inspired to say that Babsaheb ideas are more durable and conducive for development at least from my point of view. but this does not any way deny the significance of Mahathma Gandhi.its up to everybody to consider what they think more fit. i get inspiration when i see Statue of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar and The Lord Buddha than any figure in the world as both of them preached scientific rationality. i dont see any type of scientific basis in Gandhi's Literature. Afterall i whloeheartedly accept and respect Mahathma Gandhi who became instruemental in getting political freedom.
