Your calculations cannot be always right Mrs G.Mr Singhvi, you being a lawyer can always play with the words, but do remember the "Supereme Authority" has got the power to prove all the calculations and earthly powers wrong. After all the poll will only prove who was right. It will be very intresting to note what the President will do in this case.

I really pity with some of our Governers!Despite sending five reports on UP no dismissal took place. No wonder,Times have changed. Governors action should be based on the genuine interest of the people of the state concerned. They sholud not become puppets in the hands of vested interests.
CNN-IBN's question "Did Sonia Gandhi get it wrong in Uttar Pradesh?" leads to another question also.Did anyone get it right? Ony time will tell!

The miscalcualtion is due to sheer arrogance & rank political ineptitude.Notwithstanding what the courtier,Singhvi says since when is the Cong known for morality, etiquette & upholding Constitutional obligations, norms & even authority(look at the behaviour of the Guv of UP & earlier of Goa.,Bihar,Jharkhand)

Mr.Shingvi's Statement'Imposition of President's Rule is entrusted with powers of President of India' is nothing but a joke.If that be the truth, what for the UPA Govt.insisted and made the President to sign the Fax Order, during midnight, to dissolve Bihar Assembly when he was in Russian Tour?Similar is the case with Governors also. The Congress Party selects persons for Governor Posts through UPA Govt.who would simply oblige the Congress High Command.Moreso, It is the pastime of Congress Party to impose President Rule in the States which are governed by the Opposition Parties. In UP,Election Commission,by announcing the Election dates, has made the possibility of President Rule a waste since election is to be held with in two months and during that period Mulayam Singh Govt. can only be a caretaker Govt. So, it is Sonia's miscalculation for which the PARTY IS GOING TO SUFFER IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

Since election commision has announced the dates, the best thing is to do is to bring AMITABH BACHHAN TO RULE IN UP.

If Congress really cares about an election being free and fair, it should closer to home in a state it governs, Manipur. It has been in power there for five years...yet the state is being over-run by militant factions of all kinds, with the blessings of the Congress. They may even return to power there...given that the militant organizations have issued bans against, or kidnapped, or killed the candidates of the other parties...so next time Congress speaks of 'free and fair' elections, let it issue President's rule where it is really needed.
