If Rahul endeavours to promote the game of Cricket in Rural Areas, beginning with his constituency, fine. But, it is strange that you expect this will give IPL a run for its money! Also, why shouldn't he promote other games like Kabbadi, Khoh Khoh, Swimming, Archery, Gilley -Danda for starters before getting on to Ball Games. The absorption levels will be high in these sports.

Rahul reminds me of Commodus from Gladiator movie. When people are so much affected due to inflation, here is trying to divert their attention by organizing these tournaments! While it's a good exposure for the players and many talent will be found ... is it really required that a politician gets himself involved in organizing such events!

Now Politicians use cricket to be in power. In present politics, Politicians do not think of development pograms, instead they choose cricket to get the power and make people (youth) fool. People should realize that cricket will not fetch them food, also they should teach the politicians a lesson for using cricket as their political agenda.

Is T20 only way to get votes...why dont Mr.Rahul Gandhi have cheerleaders and bollywood item nos. to do some pole dance also...why dont these politicians (young!!!) start some school or ensure that all social upliftment scheme in his father, grandfather, mother and grandmother's name are utilized properly for such poor people. What is he gonna achieve by running such tournaments...will all these players automatically become young congressmen!!! Come on guys stop giving undue leverage to Congress & Mr.Rahul Gandhi....there are lot of other things happening in our country which needs coverage...did U bother to mention about the Bhopal Gas tragedy victims been treated in Delhi!!!! Shame...on fourth estate been mis-used :(

Well Mr. Vonodh at least this event doesnt have cheerleaders and bollywood item nos. Does this look like a political gimmick to you? If you have read the entire story then you must know that this event is organised by Rahul Gandhi and only for his constituency which has absolutely no threat from other parties. Mr. Vinoth wake up and smell coffee. May be for you the definition of Indian politics is and 80 year old PM..

This reminds me of Gladiator movie. Let the whole crowd go to arena and watch gladiators fight and forget the problems of life. Way to go Rahul... and only 5-6 hours of electricity...wonderful. "Yuvraj"'s constituency...
