Mumbai: Producers of the film Horn OK Please got tired of actor Tanushree Dutta’s tantrums and booted her out of an item number, and it was sharp-tongued Rakhi Sawant who came to the producer’s rescue.

“You look at me, I look so gorgeous in these clothes and jewellery. So, if I am here to do an item song then it’s definitely going to be special,” Rakhi said in her usual unabashed manner.

The item girl is in the middle of another drama as she was brought in at the last minute to replace Tanushree, who was asked to leave the film on Thursday after allegedly throwing a series of tantrums, claims the director Rakesh Sarang.

“She (Tanushree) said she won’t let anybody touch her. There are two heroes in this item song – Nana Patekar and Muzammil. So, it’s obvious she will have to dance with them. Nobody has come to just ‘touch’ her. This is the entertainment industry and everybody is here to work,” Sarang said.

And what does Rakhi have to say on her being the second choice for an item number, which happens to be her forte. “No, no, all this rubbish. I don’t believe in such things. It was meant for me, so I got it,” Rakhi said, adding a punch of philosophy.

Horn OK Please has got enough publicity because of Tanushree being shown the door and her reactions thereafter.

But what does Rakhi have to say about being drawn into another juicy controversy? “However hard I try to makeover my image, it doesn’t change,” Rakhi said.

Now that's courting controversy, Rakhi style!
