Mike It was all started by AIIMS by involving in reservation politics. Instead of involving in saving the people's life, they were on streets opposing the reservation policy. This premier institute lost its glory when it was involved in politics. The blame for this whole mess squarely goes to AIIMS and its former Director.

Dr. Prashant Pawar I have done my doctorate in Indian Institute of Science and I was under wrong impression that India's premire Institutes are functioning under full autonomy and are running smoothly. Most of the talented Indians eye on this kind of institutes while returning back to India without bothering pay structure. However, this kind of interfearence may kill India's Premier Institutes. Atleast thanks to Media and Judiciary system who tries to save these kind of institutes from these dirty politicians.

Arun Kumar It looks like our Politicians has lost the ground. Instead of upgrading the Govt. hospitals in India, they are fighting for the individual cause/ benefits. Will someone help politicians to understand rather than conocentrating on Individual, if he puts his knowledge and experience to bring up the level of the Hosiptals and get back the faith of the people of country for the facilities in govt. hospitals.
The fact is you are in Govt hospital to attend any of your relative who is ill, it feels that you'll also fall sick, because of the environment and uncleanliness.
Today the people who go to govt. hospitals are the people who are no having enough money to go to any private doctor. Even I have never seen/ heard if any politician has approached any govt hospital for his illness.
Lets be practical and raise the bar to show that we ahve very good doctors who can compete with any of the private 5 star hospitals who are taking a lot of maney from your pocket, just to provide you facilities.

Dr.Achin Mehra Mr.Health Minister instead of wasting time on anti smoking campaign which is done to gain some pre election publicity ,should visit the A.I.I.M.S campus and take a look at the living condition of doctors working there. As Dr.Kumar Harsh has rightly said the major part the residency of doctors is spent living outside .Instead some money should be alloted to improve and expand hostel facility in order accomadate as many doctors as possible.Previously Mr.Minister has done his best to shadow down the institute as reflected in Dr.Venugopal's incident he should better take a lesson from his past deeds and do something to improve conditions in A.I.I.M.S campus.
