BIG MONEY: The win at DLF masters makes Jyoti Randhawa richer by Rs 12,93,200 lakh.
Gurgaon: Jyoti Randhawa is back with a bang after winning the DLF Masters at the DLF Golf and Country Club by 8 strokes on Sunday.
With an overnight lead of two stokes, Randhawa started with a handy advantage on the final day of the DLF Masters.
Though, Mukesh Kumar gave him a scare towards the end, as both were levelled at 7 under on the last hole, Jyoti kept his cool to finish with a birdie to win the title.
"They were saying I have won three time already and this is the fourth time in a row that I will win in India so that made it very special. This is my first PGTI title this year and I have come back and won it. So it couldn't be more special," says Randhawa.
The win at DLF masters not only makes Jyoti Randhawa richer by Rs 12,93,200 lakh but also sets him up perfectly for the Indian Open that starts in less than a month.
"Weather wise yes but golf course wise it's a different course. But at least the confidence is back and I know that I can do it. I had a few good shots there and I know what to do so," Randhawa adds
The year so far has been one of his worst, as he has struggled with form and fitness, but most believe it would be hard to stop Jyoti now at the Indian open, the title he has already won twice, now that he is back at doing what he does best - win titles at home.
