BIG PLANS: Rani says, “I will spend time with family because after many years I have got time out”.
Rani Mukherjee may have had her share of problems with the media. But the actress is all gung-ho when it comes to promoting her film Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag. CNN-IBN correspondent Archita Kashyap caught up with the actress to talk about her film and Durga Puja celebrations.
Archita Kashyap: When I met Pradeep Sarkar he said, ‘Rani is not just a professional, she is passionate. Uske andar ek junoon hai.’ How do you return the compliemt?
Rani Mukherjee: I think I would say the same about Dada. He is extremely professional and that is what I have learnt from him. His motto is to go get the thing he is behind.
Archita Kashyap: How much do you love your movies?
Rani Mukherjee: I am obsessed with movies. And I love my job. That’s what keeps me going. I don’t think I can do anything else but act and be part of this industry.
Archita Kashyap: What plans for Durga Puja? Time with family
Rani Mukherjee: I will spend time with family because after many years I have got time out. I am more excited because my niece is with me. And what happiness can I get than to spend time with my family.
Archita Kashyap: Also that you have a new house to yourself?
Rani Mukherjee: I have not yet shifted. I will probably shift in New Years. But it’s great to spend Durga Puja because it’s the most important festival for Bengalis. It’s the time for all the Bongs in the world to bond. I think it will be wonderful.
