BAD DAY: Four unlucky robbers intercepted a cash van but found repair tools in it.
Amritsar: It was a bad day for four armed robbers, who intercepted a cash delivery van of a bank and took away the cash bag only to find it contained tools to repair an ATM machine.
The incident occurred Thursday morning when the cash van of ICICI bank was intercepted by car borne robbers just outside the bank at Ranjit Avenue here, police said.
After intercepting the van, they snatched the rifle of the bank guard and took away the heavy bag with an impression that it was containing cash, they said, adding the van was not carrying cash as they did not bring it since ATM machine was out of order.
The bag, which normally contained cash, was on Thursday loaded with heavy tools to repair the ATM Machine, police said.
Police were looking for clues to nab the robbers.
