Jammu: The former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad spoke to CNN-IBN on various issues ranging from the role of the PDP to the nexus shared by the militants and the political parties in Jammu and Kashmir.
Role of PDP unfortunate
"The role of PDP was very unfortunate because the entire process was started by the PDP. The transfer of land came before the Cabinet only after the Forest Minister brought it before the Cabinet. When they saw some fundamentalists are wanting this land to be taken back, then PDP were the first to say that the government should handover as if they were not a part of the government."
Fundamentalists, a problem
"The Hindus and Muslims of Kashmir Valley and Jammu want peace and harmony, growth and development. It's only few fundamentalists who are anti-development, anti-growth and anti-progress. They are seeing the only ray of hope of emergence because Hindu fundamentalists and Muslim fundamentalists were at the verge of extinction."
Politician-militant nexus
"There are some political parties which are working with the militants. They are even provided the security.”
