New Delhi: Sport as a career choice? Well, that's a concept more and more parents are warming up to these days and one such sport offering a lucrative career is golf.

Not everyone we know might spend hours in front of TV screens following golf; but the game certainly has a dedicated following and not only among the older age group but also among children.

"Golf is all about mental strength and physical ability," a young golfer says.

At the Army Golf Club, the next generation of Indian golfers is hitting the greens these days and has already picked up some hard lessons about the game.

A game may bring out the child in a man but playing golf seems to work in different ways. Not only do these youngsters know there is no room for error, they also know that each shot they play is only as important as the next one.

And these young boys are playing golf for fun. Golf for them is at par with any other career option that may be thrown their way.

"Golf is a serious profession," another youngster adds.

Gone are the days when playing a sport was all about fast paced action and the adrenaline rush.. Well the adrenaline rush is still there but for these youngsters it now comes when they see their names on top of that leaderboard.
