Allahabad: Who says sadhus can't be showstoppers! Leaving no stone unturned, sadhus at the Ardhkumbh Mela in Allahabad are trying out all kinds of accessories.

So who are their idols? What do they think adds to their look?

One sadhu wants to look like lord Krishna. “I like to dress up like lord Krishna,” said Ram Prasad Das, sadhu.

Kamandals, tridents and canes of all shapes and sizes are up for grabs.

“A sadhu is distinguished by certain accessories,” said Mangal Das, sadhu.

But it's not symbols of faith that they are attracted to. Also on the shopping list of new age sadhus are the latest gadgets and gizmos.

So, what are the new kinds of accessories, which are now coming up? “Like mobiles, laptops,” said Head of Juna Akhada Swami Avedheshanand.
