FIGHT CLUB: Actor Saif Ali Khan objected to two photojournalists getting too close to him.
Chandigarh: Saif Ali Khan has had another run in with the law. On Sunday afternoon, while shooting for his untitled home production directed by Imtiaz Ali, Khan got into a brawl with local photojournalists at the Patiala Railway Station.
Khan objected to two photojournalists getting too close; as a result, his security staff allegedly harassed the photographers and took away their cameras.
“I was doing the photo shoot, Saif came in front called for his gaurds and asked them to take me aside and beat me up,” says photo journalist, Pawan Patialvi.
On Monday evening, the actor issued a formal apology and also cleared his stance regarding the issue.
“I apologise as a producer. As an individual I would like to say that the allegation that he was beaten up on my orders is not correct at all,” says actor Saif Ali Khan.
The Railway police had earlier registered a case against Saif Khan under sections 506 and 341 of the Indian Penal Code. And now the journalist has initiated the process to withdraw his complaint.
