Sanjay Dutt has previously sent to 18 months in prison and today's sentence was totally unfair. Of course, he was guilty and had been punished. There're so many rapists, gangsters who walks free on the road. Our judiciary cannot touch them because most of them are under the protection of politicians and some of them are politicians. Look what happened to Jessica murder case. Now suddenly awarding a 6 year imprisonment to Sanjay Dutt and saying that judiciary has held upright, its pathetic.

looks like you are a fan of Sanjay. Rather than comparing things, how about taking things case-by-case. We should only see what is done in his case is right or wrong? Why compare Sanjay dutt to rapists and gansters or whatever? We should not leave a person free on the basis of a fact that there are so many criminals outside.

Though we love sanjay dutt & know he is not a terrorist but still he should be jailed for making a mockery of law & order system of India. Law needs to be implemented not only in this case but in all & every matter. Keep going judiciary. media needs to highlight all the good things in life & not focus only on the negative side. Good luck Sanju baba. Pura maharashtra is with you. Jai Maharashtra.

Great judgment by the court. Court has proved law is applicable to everybody irrespective of their social status.
But this is not the end. there are higher courts to give appeal on the verdict. And there is all the chances that they may free him from all the charges or give him 16 months of imprisonment( which is he already completed) to fool the common public . i hope this wont happen even though the chances are very less.....Money and social status is well above the Indian Judicial system.... :)

I salute the PP and the Judge. The media instead of emotionalising the issue should salute the investigators and the Judge who must have faced more pressure all these years while acting fairly. They are the real heroes. This should be a lesson for all the youngesters that law can catch them any time in their life. If others are criminals,so is Sanjay Dutt.

WELL SAID ,

well said,
look at the media, they are talking this as if the whole India has lost its soul. As if the economic growth, social balance of India is lost. For the death of great laureates also you can not see this much hype. If someone likes Sanjay Dutt as an actor, that is his personal opinion. The media should look at things more higher and important. It is pure yellow journalism

too harsh judgement; probation should have been awarded, seems like sanju is paying the price of being a celebrity. just because he is celebrity shouldn't be reason for conviction, the responses and comments like {stars ko sabak sikhana hai stuffs} smells of jealous and hatred.
what about so many tainted politicians'who is not even chargesheeted forget about trial and conviction. crystal clear???????????????
sanju hope supreme court orders prevails supremely' god bless you and your family.

Justice has been done but a bit too harsh. With the same yard stick 90% of our politicians and beauracrats should be behind bars

one of the landmark, commendable criminal verdicts in India. The six year terms seems less for someone like Sanjay Dutt. This is not the only crime he ever made. First he was under the impression, that because he was son of a bollywood star, an MP, he can do anything. Then he tried to take shelter under his own stardom and all through continued his complete disregard to the law of the land. Even after being charged under the arms act, he was caught on record talking to his dons in Dubai. He did not only, illegally posses a weapon of mass destruction, but his crime is more than that. If this gut has acted as a responsible citizen and informed the police about catche of arms, the blasts could have been avoided. As usual bollywood is trying to create sympathy for him, as effort which is on since his munnabhai MBBS.

AGREE A CRIME CAUSES SYMPATHY FOR THOSE AFFECTED THEN WHEN THE CULPRIT IS JAILED HE GETS SYMPATHY.......JUSTICE IS WHETHER THE PUNISHMENT BEFITS THE CRIME.....LINKAGE TO THE DON AND NOT WARNING IF THE IMPENDING CATASTROPHE ARE REASONS FOR THE JUDGE NOT HAVING MEMORY LOSS LIKE BOLLYWOOD
