ALL SMILES: Sanjay Dutt and celebrated blues singer Joe Bonamasa at the One Tree Music Festival.
Mumbai: At the recently held Johnny Walker One Tree Music Festival in Mumbai, the crowd was left ecstatic. But there was one man in the crowd who definitely stood out with his sheer musical talent.
This man is just one of the reasons why actor Sanjay Dutt abandoned his film shooting in Goa to come back to Mumbai for a few days.
"I told them Joe Bonamassa is there. I cannot shoot," Dutt said.
Joe Bonamasa, the 30-year-old blues guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, has been flown down to India by the Johnny Walker One Tree Music Festival at Dutt’s behest.
On Saturday evening both the actor and musician were all smiles.
“Just to see how simply he stands and he plays the guitar, especially the acoustic guitar...that's talent,” Dutt said.
Also part of the fest was the five-time Grammy Award winning blues musician Robert Cray, who later took the stage to strum away into the night.
We all know that Sanjay Dutt loves his music. However the actor has now taken this passion a step forward. Especially when it comes to blues music.
“We had a lot of people who were into rock, blues and jazz but it just died down. I think it was our time in the 70s. I just wanted that time back and I suggested about starting the One Tree Music Festival and getting these people,” Dutt added.
This effort has been music to the ears for all music lovers in Mumbai. Despite falling temperatures, the response to the festival was anything but cold.
