New York: After featuring in Mississippi Masala and Kamasutra, actor Sarita Choudhary hits the headlines again by being the first Indian actress to act in an M Night Shyamalan film.

She features in Shyamalan latest venture, Lady in the Water that is scheduled for release next year.

Raised in Jamaica, Mexico, and Italy, the half-Indian, half-English Choudhury studied economics at Queens University in Ontario before switching to acting.

Interestingly, Lady in the Water and was originally conceived by Shyamalan for his children.

The story revolves around a modest building manager named Cleveland Heep (Paul Giamatti) who rescues a mysterious young woman (Bryce Dallas Howard) from danger and discovers she is actually a ?narf??a character from a bedtime story? trying to make the treacherous journey from our world back to hers.

Of course, like Hitchcock, Night appears in all his films, but this time around he?s be adding to the ?desi? presence.
